With promotion in the air following West Brom's historic return to the top flight of Slaven Bilic and his team, legendary Albion snapper Laurie Rampling has been busying himself trawling through his memoirs during the COVID-19 lockdown.
This publication recalls the events at Oldham in April 1976 when Johnny Giles, in his first season as manager, restored the Throstles to their rightful place in the elite of English football.
Laurie's new book, aptly named '1976 and all that Promotion tale' recounts that great day at Oldham and the events leading up to the promotion.
The book, which will be a limited edition run of just 1000, is due to be released on Friday 14th August and Laurie is donating all profits to The Albion Foundation - a cause close to his heart who do a fantastic job in the local community.
